Baby Kayden

 

Meet Kayden, the brand new addition to Nate and Heidi's family.  Childhood sweethearts, Nate and Heidi have been together for over 10 years.  It's extremely heartwarming to see such love and happiness flow from a new family that is just so grateful for their blessings.  They were kind and had  wonderful spirits! It was a joy to spend time with them, photographing their wonderful family!

He was sleeping when I arrived and clearly was still tired!

Kayden seems to be looking as adoringly at his dad as Nate is looking at him.

Hank- 12 days old

Hey everyone,  let's meet Hank.  He arrived two weeks ahead of schedule. I guess he was making up for the fact that his parents were waiting for him for a very long time.  You know, photographers I know are always posting photos of adorable sleeping babies.  They are always sleeping, with a smile on their faces. That doesn't seem to happen to me.  Hank was soundly sleeping when I arrived and then promptly awoke when his photo shoot began. He was alert and aware of his surroundings.

I was so blessed to be welcomed into Hank's home, and warmly greeted by his parents, Leah and Darrin. When you see the photos, you will feel blessed, too.

 

 

 

Natalie Fine

This is Natalie Fine.

She was an absolute joy to photograph, because she is indeed so full of joy! Exuding confidence and with such a spiritual nature, it is no wonder that people flock from all across the country to hear her beautiful voice. 

She also moves naturally. It wasn't like photographing a normal person, telling them what to do and how to move.  She just moved. It felt like I was walking with a friend through the sculpture garden, which of course, I was.

 

Lily Lou- 9 Months

I met Brook, Zach and Lily at Goose Island on Saturday afternoon.  It was chilly (I went out and bought sweatpants because I was an idiot and wore shorts) and had started to rain. I even asked if we should reschedule.  But Brook, in her true optimistic fashion, said we should stick it out.  It's a good thing we did because we we all arrived, the clouds parted and sunshine came through. It was a wonderful afternoon with some great people. Lily is a lucky gal, to have such spirited and superb parents such as this.

 At this point, Lily has lost interest in me, but can't seem to get enough of the nature that surrounds her.
